Thorben Schaefer is Managing Director in the investment team at Clarion Partners Europe. He is responsible for the origination, financing and execution of real estate acquisitions and developments across Continental Europe and has been involved in a wide range of investments across Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Thorben became part of Clarion in 2019 via Clarion’s acquisition of Gramercy Europe. He joined Gramercy in 2015 and began working in the industry in 2014. Thorben was the president of the Land Economy Society and the board of the Finance and Investment Society during his time at Cambridge University. He is fluent in German.
