Paul Lewis

Director, European Data Centres, Principal Real Estate Europe

Paul is a Chartered Surveyor with 30 years’ experience working as an asset manager in the industrial and data centre sectors. Paul began his career at Vail Williams, initially undertaking commercial agency before specialising in Landlord and Tenant and valuation for clients such as MEPC and Arlington.

Paul joined SEGRO plc in 2000 undertaking a variety of roles including Corporate Acquisitions Manager and Group Business Development Manager. In 2008 Paul became Regional Director for SEGRO’s £2bn Thames Valley portfolio with responsibility for its 6.2 million sq ft of accommodation and 350 customers. During this time Paul presided over the growth of the Group’s largest asset, the Slough Trading Estate, into the pre-eminent data centre campus in Europe with 30 facilities operated by companies such as Equinix, CyrusOne, Virtus and NTT and led its European Data Centre Group. In 2020 Paul became SEGRO’s Director for Group Data Centres focusing on data centre developments across Western and Central Europe.
Paul joined Principal Real Estate in May 2021 to focus on European Data Centres.
