Stijn Steenbakkers

Stijn Steenbakkers is an alderman in Eindhoven and responsible for the Brainport, economy, education, KnoopXL and Eindhoven-Northwest portfolio. Besides being an administrator and CDA politician, Stijn is an economist with a financial background. After a career as an economic advisor to the CDA group in the 1st Rutte cabinet, banker at Rabobank and member of the Provincial Council of North Brabant, he joined the Eindhoven Municipal Executive in 2018.

The Brainport Eindhoven region is facing a huge (economic) jump in scale. And with its powerfully innovative and high-tech ecosystem, the region has a unique position in the Netherlands and globally.
