Stephan Segbers

Stephan Segbers has served as Chief Sales Officer of RheinEnergie since October 2023. With nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector, he has worked across almost every stage of the energy value chain. A graduate in business administration and economics, he began his career in 2007 at E.ON in Corporate Audit, quickly taking on leadership responsibilities. From 2017 to 2020, he headed the Executive and Supervisory Board Office before joining the management board of Essent N.V., E.ON SE’s Dutch subsidiary, as Chief Operating Officer.

As a father of four, Stephan Segbers is deeply committed to shaping the energy transition. He sees RheinEnergie as a key driver of this transformation — not only through the nationwide expansion of renewable energies, but also as an essential enabler for Cologne and the surrounding region.
