Robbie Epsom

Founding Partner, Karteria Partners

Robbie Epsom is an executive-level sustainability and real-asset investment professional with over 18 years’ experience uniting ESG, investment strategy, and operational delivery. Since August 2025, he has operated as a fractional Operating Partner and executive advisor – deploying for an infrastructure investment manager, contributing to ESG in real estate publications, and serving on advisory boards for PropTech ventures – culminating in his role as Co-Founder of Karteria Partners.

​As EMEA Head of Sustainability at CBRE Investment Management, Robbie served as an executive voting member of UK and European Investment Committees, embedding ESG into investment decisions, capital allocation, and asset management across real estate and infrastructure portfolios. His leadership contributed to CBRE IM securing PERE’s ESG Firm of the Year (Europe, 2024).

​Earlier, Robbie held senior roles at WSP, Ricardo Energy & Environment, and Atkins, advising major global companies and infrastructure projects. His work has been recognised through the MIPIM Global ESG Leadership Award (2025), Environmental Professional of the Year (2025), and inclusion in PERE’s Top 50 Influencers in Sustainable Private Markets (2024).

​Robbie serves as Vice Chair of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, IES Technical Liaison to ISO Net Zero standards, and Expert Advisor to The Earthshot Prize. He is a contributing author to forthcoming publications on ESG in real estate, establishing the contractual infrastructure to move climate risk from aspirational reporting to binding governance mechanisms.

​Robbie is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (FIEnvSci) and the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (FICRS), and holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University.
