Philip Cropper is an Executive Director of CBRE. He has overall responsibility for the activities of CBRE Financial, which forms part of the company’s Capital Markets Division.
His primary role is to act as the principal client contact and to have overall responsibility for ensuring the advice provided is of the highest quality. Philip is actively involved in the development of new and innovative approaches to financing, property ownership & appraisal and has responsibility for ensuring the service provided to clients is market led.
Philip joined CBRE in 1985 and, having spent most of his 19 years with the firm in the Investment Consulting Department, he is one of the Company’s most experienced Investment Consultants. Philip spent 5 years working in the City of London office providing development and investment advice, he then returned to the Investment Consulting Department to head a team involved in corporate recovery and reconstruction.
During his time as Managing Director of the Investment Consulting Department Philip specialised in providing advice to Banks on investment and strategic property advice, as well as working closely with his banking clients on some of their income complex secured lending and structured finance transactions. He also advised property investors in need of acquisition or disposal advice and is highly respected by his clients. He gained experience advising on a wide range of properties and has provided advice on many of the City of London’s largest office developments and investments, West End offices, several shopping centres, most of the regional shopping malls, factory outlet centres, leisure schemes, provincial offices and industrials.
Philip works in the pan-European market on behalf of his institutional, property company and banking clients, working closely with his colleagues in the CBRE office network.
Philip now heads CBRE Financial, which encompasses a range of complementary transactional and consultancy service lines within real estate finance on a European wide basis. The team is unique in that it combines corporate finance, accountancy, real estate and financial consulting professionals providing the following services:
