Nicholas Maclean

Nicholas Maclean is the MD of CBRE, Middle East Region. He was appointed in 2004 to establish a CBRE business within the Middle East with a particular emphasis on developing a platform that would service the requirements of CBRE’s international and local client bases. The business now operates across the region from six offices. He is chairman of each of these operating entities.
CBRE, Middle East was, last year, voted one of the most influential businesses in the UAE.
Nick joined the firm as a graduate and was made partner in 1996. He ran the UK Professional Services Department before taking up a pan European role on behalf of the pan European valuation practice.
Prior to living in the United Arab Emirates, Nick was a pension trustee and chairman of the employee’s forum.
He was the firms client director for HSBC and for RBS.
From a past life, he is a graduate of the Royal Naval College Greenwich; the Joint Services Command and Staff College Shrivenham; and as an exchange student, The Canadian Forces College Toronto.
He is a trustee of the Lillian Sutton Endowment Fund (CoL) and through his appointment as a GlobalScot, an advisor to Scottish Enterprise.
