Laurent Ternisien

Laurent joined EPRA in February 2016 as a Senior Advisor responsible for the Investor Outreach program, the Events and the Development of the Best Practises Recommendations.

Laurent, a French national who has worked in London for the last ten years, led the integration of the Investment Property Databank (IPD) into MSCI, following the takeover of the global real estate markets data company in 2012. Prior to that, he was CEO of IPD’s Headquarters in London for seven years, where he led the global expansion into 32 markets and implemented an investment programme to develop indexes and portfolio analytics for investors, fund managers and REITs. He initially set up IPD in France in 1999 and developed it further in Southern Europe before becoming its CEO. Prior to IPD, Laurent started his career at GRECAM in Paris as Director of Research.

Over the last 25 years, he has accumulated an in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry and the financial information sector with a large network amongst international investors and managers.

Laurent holds a degree in engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris (a French Grande Ecole) specialising in urbanism.

He is also the Chairman of Fidji, a French non-profit organisation which focuses on defining data exchanges standards for the Real Estate Community.
