Karin Koks

Karin Koks-Van der Sluijs is a Managing Director of the Portfolio Management business for Greystar Europe. Karin is responsible for the overall strategic direction, execution, and performance of the European Core perpetual life vehicle and oversees the fund management practice for the Europe region.
Karin has over 28 years of real estate experience, having served in numerous leadership roles across the industry. Prior to Greystar, she most recently managed her own international real estate and management consultancy business, where she served on various supervisory boards. Previously, Karin worked for ten years at Aberdeen Asset Management, where she was responsible for the management of global portfolios of non-listed funds and capital raising. Prior to that, she managed the European real estate portfolio at MN Pension Fund for five years. Karin is actively involved with INREV, the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute, as well as VCTE, an association for supervisory board members. She is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Karin received a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Economics from Hoge School voor Economische Studies in Rotterdam and a Master’s in Business Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She has completed a program for Supervisory Board members at the Erasmus Governance Institute, as well as a course on Remuneration at Nijenrode University.
