Co-founder, , The Class Foundation, Netherlands
Frank Uffen is co-founder of The Class Foundation, a think-tank dedicated to improving student living. In 2011, The Class Foundation was founded in response to a growing student housing crisis in the Netherlands. This regional scope widened throughout the past decade but the core purpose remained; unveiling innovative solutions to the common challenge in solving the student housing crisis.
Our vision is for university cities to attract and retain the brightest young minds. We see student accommodation as an important condition for success. The future of student housing is blended, the boundaries between spaces we use to live, learn and work are morphing. Together with this evolution technology and student mobility create opportunities for new communities to be shaped by the real estate sector.
Frank holds a MA in City Planning from the University of Amsterdam and an International MBA from Instituto Empresa Business School in Madrid. He has studied and worked in Montreal, New York, Madrid and London.
