Dr. Marcelo Cajias, Manager of the Research Department at PATRIZIA Immobilien AG, is in charge of the analysis and forecast of the European real estate markets. His main focus is on the usage of advanced econometric models for forecasting European commercial and residential markets. In addition, he monitors the development of the financial markets and macroeconomic aggregates and works in the development of investment strategies. As a specialist in the field of sustainability, he is actively involved in its strategic development and improvement at PATRIZIA.
Dr. Cajias studied economics at the University of Regensburg in Germany, majoring in statistics, econometrics and real estate economics. He earned a doctorate’s degree for his dissertation regarding the economic implications of sustainability for listed real estate companies. As a dedicated researcher, his papers have been published in various international journals. He has won, the RICS Best Paper Award in 2011 and the German Real Estate Research Award in 2013 and has joined PATRIZIA in December 2012.
