Dirk Bakker

Dirk is Head of Hotels for Colliers EMEA region, based from Amsterdam. The Colliers EMEA team is
part of the Colliers Global Hotels team with specialists across EMEA, Asia Pacific and the Americas.
Dirk is also partner and Chief Executive Officer for Colliers in the Netherlands with 330 dedicated
professionals over 4 dedicated offices.

Dirk has over 30 years’ experience in hotel consulting in the global market with a focus on transaction
advisory, brokerage and innovation. Dirk and his team of 80+ hospitality professionals work worldwide
wit a particular focus on Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Dirk is an experienced entrepreneur with his company ICS. He executed over 200 hotel loyalty card
programs for most the major hotel brands in 27 countries across Europe, the Middle East, India,
China, Brasil and Russia.

Dirk combined his expertise as an entrepreneur and a hotel operations specialist and incorporated the
current Hotels division of Colliers in the Netherlands in 2010 and took the Colliers Hotel department to
market leadership in Dutch market.

Due to his focus on consumer behaviour and his early interest in applied technology combined with his
global experience in the hospitality sector, Dirk has become an expert on branding and a thought
leader in hospitality value drivers and growth models. In his role as one of the Colliers hospitality
leaders, Dirk combines his knowledge, expertise and experience with the global capital markets and
focusses on major brokerage and M&A assignments across the continents.
