Carsten Czarnetzki

Carsten is an Executive Director in AEW Europe’s Investment team in London.  Carsten has a wide range of real estate experience having previously had roles in fund management and acquisitions as well as asset management.  He has acquired and/or managed real estate assets throughout the US, Europe and Central Europe.  Carsten began his career in real estate in 2002 when he joined the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank and worked on a number of M&A real estate transactions.  In 2003 he moved into a principal role within private equity real estate, working first for JER Partners and subsequently Starwood Capital Group where he was an associate in the acquisitions team in London and New York.  In 2009 he joined Generali Immobiliare in their Paris office as a director of fund and asset management and was responsible for funds/assets in Europe.  Carsten holds a Master in Management degree of ESCP Europe, Paris and graduate degree in business administration of Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich.
