Bas Tiemstra
Head of Asset Management Retail EMEA, CBRE Global Investors, Netherlands
Bas Tiemstra is Head of Asset Management Retail EMEA. Bas is responsible for implementing consistency and quality in the asset management processes for shopping centres across all programmes. Local heads of asset management report into Bas, as part of the role’s central aim to ensure retail property performance.
Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors Bas worked for ASR Real Estate Investment Management (ASR REIM) where he was Managing Director Commercial Real Estate and Fund Director for the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund. In this role, he managed a portfolio of EUR2 billion with a team of 38 professionals. He has been responsible for structuring of and raising new equity for the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund. Prior to this, Bas worked as Managing Director at PRN Real Estate Development as well as five years with Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance as Asset Manager and then Portfolio Manager.
The creation of the HOAM Retail EMEA role is part of the next phase of plans to build a united organisation to maximise the potential of the retail business in EMEA.
