Jan Eckert

Jan Eckert is the CEO of JLL Switzerland since its founding in February 2011. In addition, he heads the Capital Markets practice for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) and is a member of the Capital Markets Executive Committee EMEA.
Jan started his professional career in 1991 with Arthur Andersen in the audit and advisory division. In 1997, he founded as Partner Andersen Real Estate in Switzerland. He later moved with his team to Ernst & Young where he developed the practice into one of the most successful and reputable real estate corporate finance groups in Switzerland. In December 2005, the team transferred to Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. Corporate Finance (Switzerland) and in February 2011 to Jones Lang LaSalle.
Experience
Jan Eckert has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate business. In his career, Jan has successfully advised in real estate transactions totaling over CHF 25 billion. Including some landmark transactions like the merger of real estate companies PSP and REG or one of the biggest asset deals in Europe with the Uetlihof Sale and Leaseback and the JV of “The Circle” at the airport of Zurich. Jan is an Economist with a Swiss CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and a postgraduate in Real Estate Economics of EBS.
