Klaas de Boer studied town-planning at the Technical University in Delft (NL). After his graduation, he worked on several positions in the field of town-planning and urban design and project management.
– 1997 – 2009 Klaas de Boer was managing director of the Physical Planning Department
– 1997 – 2007 De Boer was public principal and responsible for the development of IJburg
– 2009 – up till the present Klaas de Boer is managing director of the Amsterdam Zuidas development
