Alexandre Fernandes

Head of Asset Management Europe, Sonae Sierra, Portugal

Alexandre Fernandes joined Sonae Sierra in 1997 as Development Manager of NorteShopping, later becoming the centre’s General Manager. In 2000 he was appointed Asset Manager for Portugal and in 2002 he added Greece and Romania to his portfolio. Between 2008 and 2015, Alexandre oversaw all Sonae Sierra’s real estate investments in Portugal and Spain and is now Head of Asset Management for Europe.

Alexandre holds a Degree in Electronics Engineering, Minho University; MBA, ISEE University of Porto; MSc in Management, University of Porto; AMP, IE Madrid and a Real Estate Executive Program, HBS.
