DESCRIPTION:As part of a dedicated programme on the Living Sector, we take a deep dive into the Dutch residential market as new research is launched  and re-examining the key drivers, risks and opportunities for international institutional investors to include the Netherlands as  part of their European residential allocation.

Structural demand remains strong with the Netherlands facing a persistent need for additional and better-quality housing. At the same time, the economic fundamentals are resilient with a relatively strong economy, good labour market and a demographic outlook that continues to support housing demand. The institutional ecosystem is mature with deep domestic institutional expertise an established market structures and experienced residential investors. The investment climate is also changing, after a period of considerable policy and regulatory uncertainty, with an increasing focus on improving investability and unlocking long-term capital.

With strong fundamentals, a mature institutional ecosystem and an investment climate that is changing. Is now the right time to invest in the Dutch residential market?
